Vishal Misra was born in the city of Mumbai, India. Growing up in India, he had a traditional upbringing, which largely set the undertone for his work. Over the years, he has lived across many cities in Asia, Europe and Americas, which further expanded his experience through multitude of cultural influences.
In his drawing and his paintings, Misra portrays the varied experiences, emotions and events in his life from his unique perspective. The interplay of light and dark plays an important role in all his depictions. He uses vividly contrasting colors and hues, which unveil beautifully the story behind each of his paintings.
He is the Vice President of Mississauga Art Society and a member to various Art organizations. Vishal now resides and works in Mississauga, Ontario Canada.
